About the role
Following STUDIT's acquisition by STDI, my scope gradually expanded beyond application development. I continue to design, develop and maintain web and business applications, while also contributing to their architecture, deployment and the environments that host them. My responsibilities now also include system administration, infrastructure, networking, security, identity and authentication, as well as the operation and evolution of the company's internal services.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Full Stack and business applications.
- Contribute to application architecture and technical design decisions.
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Administer servers, workstations, internal services and virtualization environments.
- Design, administer and evolve the network infrastructure, VPNs, routing, segmentation and security rules.
- Administer identity and authentication mechanisms, including LDAP, Active Directory, OIDC, SSO and related services.
- Implement system and service hardening, filtering, monitoring and security measures.
- Diagnose and resolve application, system, network and security incidents.
Achievements
- Complete redesign of the company's network architecture to improve segmentation, traffic control, security and infrastructure maintainability.
- Implementation and maintenance of deployment environments, CI/CD pipelines and technical services required by applications.
- Modernization, security hardening and maintenance of existing business applications while preserving compatibility with production environments.
- Administration and evolution of internal services such as GitLab, Nextcloud and SonarQube, along with the environments required to operate them.
- Centralization and evolution of identity, authentication and access mechanisms using LDAP, Active Directory, OIDC, SSO and related IAM services.
- Strengthened security and monitoring using CrowdSec, Wazuh, nftables and BunkerWeb.
